Monday morning coffee

To say I love products would be an understatement. I tend to be a little OCD when it comes to them. You know doing the right thing like cleaning my blush brushes once a week, make sure things are stored the proper way, rolling nail polish in between my hands not shaking it which can create air bubbles. I think the reason why though is because everything costs a ton. Sorry for you that don't understand and were born with the last name Gates, Walton, or Bettencourt. Having to splurge on these can make someone go broke alone, but add in a morning coffee and you mine as well apply for a second job!

Lucky for you I am one step closer to solving that problem. I found a SUPER easy DIY coffee body scrub!

I made a few minor changes. I doubled the recipe. I used a mix of oil and vitamin E oil, that was silly cheep at the dollar store. The original recipe called for vanilla and mint, but I didn't want mint any where close to my coffee. To me its like brushing your teeth than drinking orange juice EW! So I used vanilla and almond YUM!

Funny story as I went to go make the scrub, thinking I had everything already in the kitchen. WRONG. We didn't have coffee... fail. How are you supposed to make a coffee scrub without coffee.

On the way to the store to get coffee, I stopped at a dollar store and scored vitamin E oil and an eight pack of these fun little containers to share the scrub (seen with the blue lid right) This really makes me want to start planning next years Christmas gifts, I have a feeling 90% might be homemade.

Leap of Faith

Have you ever just taken a chance. I'm not talking about a new toothbrush. Like I want this but the rest of the world is out to get me? Yes there are horrible draw backs, I loose money, I loose benefits, I loose seniority. But here is a tiny news flash I WANT THIS, AND I'M GOING FOR IT!

What is something that you took a leap of faith for? My favorite yet to date, was moving to Chicago. I got a chance to live there with an amazing friend (she mine as well be my sister) her hubby, my nephew, and my niece. Yes the nephew and niece are cats- so what!!! I'll admit at times it was hard and I wanted to give up. Those 15 minutes of pouting will never out weigh the amazing memories and friendships I have from that moment in my life.

Here is to the future and following your HEART not your head.

Simple.Sweet.Strawberry

My morning thought process: mmm good morning. can I please sleep for another thirty minutes. wait do I work today. nope. ahhh okay. (deep breath) well then we must accomplish fun today. I don't know what kind of fun but yes fun it must be. today hmm what to wear. could I get away with sweats all day long. ew no sweats does not equal fun. hmmm breakfast in bed sounds fun. no not fun enough. ice cream for breakfast. now that sounds like a perfectly fun way to start the day. (the roll over, feet on the ground, arms stretching up) oh crap I have to go... well most of you can guess what comes next.

Needless to say my brain does not work like the rest of the world. It is not happy or calm until it is fixated on something sweet or sparkly. I stumbled upon a pin, yes on the almighty Pinterest. This pin was of "strawberry oreos." Better yet it was not a "slave your day away in the kitchen" recipe. Sadly enough I have it memorized already I didn't have to keep checking the directions. The little things in life I am proud of myself for!
